Because of lockdown-related roasting schedule changes, we unfortunately cannot guarantee that these beans will be within 2 weeks of roast date.
We receive fresh deliveries of these coffee beans twice per week. Please allow up to 3-4 working days after you order for dispatch in case we need to wait for the next delivery.
If you've been a customer of Cape Coffee Beans or Origin for a few years, you may remember the last coffee we had from Finca Las Brisas. Like its predecessor, this microlot was selected by the ASORCAFE association because of its particularly high quality and, like its predecessor, it was grown by farmer Carlos Alberto Ulchur. We're thrilled to be drinking another one of his delicious lots!
This coffee hails from the Cauca region, one of the most celebrated of Colombia's coffee-growing areas, and will please both classic and progressive coffee palates. It's very pleasantly full bodied, with plenty of traditional flavours that will help it appeal to any coffee drinker, but it also has some intriguing flavour notes to ponder and enjoy.
In the cupping bowl, we were quite taken with the ripe cherry flavours we found. These translated into a few brews, and were joined by some candied stone fruit, particularly in our siphon and our MoccaMaster. All of this was nicely rounded off with a chocolate finish in some cups. Needless to say, we really enjoyed tasting this one!
