It boils down to a handful full of very well thought out design elements.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFirst and foremost, this dripper is designed to achieve minimal contact with the \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/capecoffeebeans.co.za\/products\/kalita-wave-paper-filters?variant=34903837114502\" title=\"Buy some filters\" target=\"_blank\"\u003eKalita 185 filters\u003c\/a\u003e that it uses. The filter only really makes contact around the base and along an edge, meaning that your coffee and water sit in the filter and make little contact with the brewer itself. That means smooth water flow and great temperature retention. While that is a plastic, it is an incredibly robust and food-safe plastic, that almost looks like a solid piece of glass. Even better, it stays that way even after many uses as it is stain-resistant.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePerhaps more importantly for us, the B75 Coffee Dripper has three structural elements all of which help to speed up flow rate. Its walls are almost upright, angled at 75° against the built-in base. These walls also feature 20 concave ridges that keep the filter from sticking to them. Lastly, the bottom is almost entirely open but crisscrossed with 10 sturdy ribs that keep the filter in place without obstructing flow. Combined, these features seem to deliver one of the fastest flow rates we've seen on a flat-bottomed brewer which means you can grind quite fine, while avoiding the pitfalls of clogging and over-extraction.
