We receive fresh deliveries of these coffee beans several times per week. Please allow up to 2-3 working days after you order for dispatch in case we need to wait for the next delivery.
Most of the time we're pretty serious about our coffee. We like to play by the rules. We use SCA-recommended brewing ratios. We time. We measure temperature. We don't mess around.
Still, once in a while we like to let our hair down and do something totally crazy. Like what you ask? How about blending two coffees from two different roasters, just on a whim. Just. Like. That.
Do you know what's even more crazy? When the result is absolutely delicious. It really happened and we want to share it with you.
This blend was concocted early one morning when there just wasn't enough of one of the components, and a certain CCTeam member thought, "what the heck?" And so, a blend was born, and it tasted like fruit salad in a cup. It kind of makes sense in the end if you think about it. You take the wonderful caramel sweetness and orange notes of Quaffee's Colombia Los Idolos, and you combine it with bold blueberry and dark grape flavours of Rosetta's Honduras San Franscisco Natural. In retrospect it's to be expected: Fruit Salad.
Now let's be clear. There is no secret recipe here. It's 50/50: Los Idolos & San Franscisco Natural. You could buy a bag of each and blend it yourself, just to say you did. But if cutting open two bags and mixing feels like work, you can now buy this serendipitous flight of fancy pre-blended for your satisfaction.
Fruit Salad is best enjoyed as a pour-over or filter, with a smile on your face.
NB: Thanks Zane for planting the seed that grew this particular coffee cherry.
