Noticing that baristas around the world share the same challenge—a loud, messy routine using traditional knock boxes that still requires additional manual wiping—its engineering team came up with a smarter, faster way to handle cleanup. By swapping the disruptive bangs for a quiet, hands-free action, the Kaffee Klar T1 Automatic Portafilter Cleaner keeps workflows efficient, café spaces peaceful, and baristas focused on what matters: pulling delicious shots and talking to customers!

The Kaffee Klar T1 Automatic Portafilter Cleaner houses a high-speed, contoured cleaning head and a photoelectric activation sensor inside a compact body. It is used to purge spent coffee grounds and wipe 58 mm filter baskets clean in seconds. Simply pull your shot, place the used portafilter over the T1’s cleaning head, and the photoelectric sensor will automatically trigger cleaning. Equipped with interchangeable cleaning heads for single and double, curved, or straight-walled baskets, it turns a loud, wrist-jarring, time-consuming chore into one quiet, hands-free action. For a high-volume café, the T1 offers faster preparation times during peak rush, better shot-to-shot consistency without lingering coffee grounds, and a peaceful bar setup that also saves baristas’ wrists from the pounding required for traditional knock boxes.

Housed inside a stainless steel chassis that stays firmly planted on countertops, the Kaffee Klar T1 is built for high volumes in commercial environments. Its rubber cleaning inserts are rated for roughly 8,000 cleaning cycles and available for separate purchase. Up front, a clear digital display keeps track of your total cycle count, handy for gauging daily café volume or tracking maintenance intervals, and may be configured in 29 different languages. Fitting it into your bar’s layout is easy, thanks to three flexible mounting options: use it right out of the box with the included countertop bucket, flush-mount it vertically into your counter, or attach it to a standing unit to directly drop spent grounds below.

Please ensure that the T1 unit is unplugged when replacing or disassembling the cleaning head.

Kaffee Klar T1 Portafilter Cleaner features

Designed for standard 58 mm single & double portafilter baskets

Hands-free espresso portafilter cleaning

Fast 3-second operation

Photoelectric sensor detects portafilters

Low-noise operation

Compact footprint

Onboard digital display

Durable stainless steel chassis

Interchangeable cleaning heads with soft-rubber inserts

Long-life cleaning heads

Includes flat, angled & arc-bottom rubber cleaning inserts to match various basket shapes

Reduces the risk of repetitive impact strain on barista wrists

3 flexible mounting setups:

Countertop bucket

Mounts into your bar for under-counter disposal

Pairs with a standing bin (purchased separately)

Kaffee Klar T1 Portafilter Cleaner specifications

Dimensions: (H) 210 x (W) 150 x (D) 180 mm

Colour: Matte black

Brush diameter: 58 mm

Weight: 2.50 kg

Control voltage: 24V

Electrical input: 220V AC 50/60Hz

Speed: 400 RPM

Included with the Kaffee Klar T1 Portafilter Cleaner:

Tabletop coffee grounds bucket

Vertical installation bracket

Power supply adapter

Two cleaning heads

Rubber cleaning inserts (Models 01, 02 and 03)

4 x M2.5*4 screws

4 x M2.5*5 screws

M3 screwdriver

User manual including safety instructions

Disposal bag bracket

10 x disposal bags for coffee grounds

Wood-handled brush
