You might be tempted to associate Origin Coffee Roasting with African coffees. That would be quite understandable given the incredible variety of African coffees that they source and roast every year, but there's more to Origin than just African coffees. We reckon that they also have a knack for finding and roasting some of the best Colombians we get to drink. This is the latest example.
You might remember Finca Veracruz from years past. This coffee is actually from the same farm, but is a slightly different all Colombia-variety lot. It has the same candy-like sweetness that we loved in its predecessor, but it's even more complex in the cup. We found all kinds of subtle fruit flavours to enjoy, but they were always understated, never overpowering. The most prominent were probably the hints of yellow melon and golden delicious apple. It also has a wonderful hazelnut finish.
We loved this coffee in pretty much every brew method. It's one of those balanced every day drinking coffees that you will always enjoy. Pour-overs, Aeropresses, siphons, you name it; this coffee always goes down well.
