This very special Colombian single origin from our friends at Quaffee is deliciously complex and incredibly sweet. It has revealed something different to us every time we've tried it. In the cupping bowl, it had savoury and somewhat floral aromatics that reminded us of tomatoes but the taste revealed an incredibly delicious light and sweet flavour that was almost like watermelon.
It's a refreshing coffee because of its pronounced acidity and this helps it shine in brew methods like the Aeropress and pour-overs. We probably enjoyed it most in the former with the Aeropress revealing some incredible apricot flavours.
It is grown by a cooperative of farmers from Inza, in the Cauca region of Colombia who have been successful in improving quality and commanding better prices through their association. Their coffees are prized by speciality roasters the world over and have been roasted by many of the big names in US coffee particularly.
