The Icon is one of Mythos’ larger bean to cup machines, and it’s a really great option for a number of high-demand contexts, such as a busy office, a canteen, or a convenience store. It can put out around 150 cups of coffee a day, and thanks to a 4 litre water tank and at least one 1.2kg bean hopper, you can reliably fill the Icon up at the beginning of the day and not have to worry about refilling, especially if you opt to have it plumbed into your water mains. The Icon’s two variants also each have two additional hoppers. The 2P has two powder chambers in addition to the bean hopper, ideal for milk and chocolate powders for mocha-style drinks. The 2G has one powder hopper, also suitable for chocolate powder, and an additional bean hopper, useful for, say, a decaf option.

Speaking of beverages, the Icon can brew over 30 varieties, from espressos and americanos to cappuccinos and cafe mochas. These can be easily selected and adjusted via the intuitive 10.1 inch LCD touch screen interface. The Icon’s grinder (or grinders in the case of the 2G) is also adjustable, so you can really fine tune your grind to get the most out of your coffee. There’s also a dual boiler system that allows for simultaneous milk steaming and coffee brewing, making the Icon the ideal speed machine to crush a mid-morning rush. And, thanks to an integrated milk and brew group cleaning system, machine maintenance is less of a hassle for the user. 

The Mythos Icon can also be connected to a peripheral payment device, like a card or bank note reader. This turns it into a coffee vending machine suitable for a variety of self-service commercial contexts, such as on a university campus, in a waiting room, or in a convenience store. Required and recommended accessories

The Mythos Icon comes with everything that you need to make delicious coffee. However, unlike smaller bean to cup machines, it needs access to more milk than a small carafe can supply. That milk also needs to be kept at a food-safe temperature, so the Icon must be purchased with a Mythos Aspen milk fridge, without which it can’t produce milk-based beverages.
