For as long as it’s been around (and it's been around since the 1930s), Bialetti has had one major goal: to bring Italian espresso right into your kitchen, as faithfully yet simply as possible. The Moka Express and its variants are famous for achieving just that, but have been held back somewhat by their inability to replicate the high-pressure brewing environment of genuine espresso. Bialetti released the Brikka to solve this exact issue, and now we’re excited to offer the induction-ready version too. 

A number of features distinguish the Brikka from the Moka Express, but the most important of these is that, thanks to a silicone pressure regulator, the Brikka can brew at a higher pressure than its predecessor. This produces significantly more crema, that reddish-brown froth that sits at the top of a well-made espresso and gives it much of its famed richness and body.

The Brikka also notably sports an opening in its lid to prevent the build up of condensation during the brewing process, which would otherwise dilute your final product. The lid also lets you see what’s going on while you brew, so that you know when to pull the Brikka off the stove. The process is also oddly satisfying to watch.

All of this is true of the standard Bialetti Brikka, but can now be enjoyed with an induction stove too thanks to the Induction model’s stainless steel lower half.

We currently offer the 4 cup variant of the Brikka Induction, a cup in this instance equating to a roughly ~30ml espresso-style shot. This makes it perfect for sharing between two people, or enjoying one big cup of coffee on your own.
