How to use Urnex Grindz

1. Empty all coffee from the coffee grinder
2. Add 35-40g (1 capful) of Grindz to the grinder
3. Grind as you would your coffee (ideally on a medium setting)
4. Purge with a small amount of coffee (equivalent to 2 normal doses)

Note: You may see some white dust - don't worry - it is food safe! Just dust it away as you would some coffee grounds.

How often should you use Grindz?

How often you use this product will depend on how often you use your grinder, how oily the coffee you use is (darker roasts are oilier), and the type of grinder you're using.

For commercial settings

Urnex recommends using Grindz about once per week for an espresso grinder in a commercial setting, though you may need to adjust this depending on the grinder's throughput. They recommend once per month for a shop grinder, but this may require a double dose for a thorough clean.

For home

While Urnex recommends using Grindz weekly, if you're only making a cup or two a day, this may be more than you need.

Establish a regular schedule of using Grindz at least once a month depending on how much your grinder is used. If you can see lots of buildup on your burrs, it's definitely time to use Grindz!
