Toddy is the granddaddy of cold brew coffee makers. Invented by chemist Todd Simpson in 1964, American coffee lovers have been using it to make their own cold brew coffee for half a century. It was inspired by the inventor's visit to Guatemala where he tasted a traditional cold-brewed coffee beverage, and the rest is history.
The Toddy Cold Brew Coffee Maker is perfect for the avid home user. It's a simple immersion system, but its rubber stopper, sealable glass carafe and perfectly fitted filters make getting smooth results very easy. It also has a pretty serious capacity, allowing you to brew up to 1.5L of concentrate at a time, and store it for up to 2 weeks in the refrigerator!
If you're the type of person that would enjoy regularly drinking home-made cold brew, Toddy is an easy, tried & tested system that you can have a lot of fun with. Just use freshly ground (and freshly roasted) coffee beans and follow the in-box instructions. You can then experiment with tweaking your brewing variables.

Toddy Cold Coffee maker
Hi - The Toddy worked as advertised - seemed to require a shed load of ground coffee - I used Los Idolos from Quaffee. Came out okay and needed to be reduced I used 2 parts water with one part coffee. I let it stand for 12 hours - next time I'll leave it for the full 24 before decanting. I'll try different amounts, grinds etc and find my best pick. Do you sell the coffee filters for the home Toddy - I would like to use it. I'll make up my next batch this weekend. Still prefer my Aero Press. Thanks Martin
Toddy Cold Brew
I found the Cold Brew, prepared on a Toddy, as an exciting new experience for serious Coffee drinkers! Easy to prepare and different from the conventional brewing methods. The flavours extracted from the beans using the cold process provide a pleasant taste profile with lower acidity as that of a high temperature process. Practically I found the fact that the concentrate is an easy drink to store, transport and serve, expanding the coffee lover’s experience to warm weather events and the use as a cold energy drink on road trips. While Cold Brew is not a replacement process for conventional high temperature brewing methods, my Toddy Cold Brew Maker is going with me on the coming December holiday!
