You could say that this coffee was blended with a purpose. Our friends at Quaffee crafted this blend specifically with the cappuccino-loving home barista in mind. Dark & full-bodied, it shines when made as an espresso and combined with milk, offering the drinker wonderful vanilla & mocha flavours. Consider it an easy-drinking little gem to for everyday coffee enjoyment.

It is a combination of both organic and wild-grown Arabica coffees which came together to give us its name. It is a favourite of Mzukisi, the man who does most of the roasting at Quaffee and he selected it when we asked him to suggest which new coffees to add to our range many years ago.

Phaedon's tasting notes

The most recent edition of the Wildly Organic Blend that I tasted may have been blended for espresso, but it definitely also shone in paper-filtered brew methods including pour-overs, batch brew and the AeroPress. It has a wonderful, delicate lemony note, accompanied by a syrupy sweetness and a pleasant hazelnut finish. At times, it tasted to me like a lemon custard dessert, at other times more like a lemon sorbet. In all cases, it was delicious!

In the blend

This blend changes according to seasonality but is always made of a blend of organically certified coffee and wild forest coffees, all specialty grade and with a cupping score of 83 and above. Typically, this blend has a base of wild-grown Arabica coffee harvested from the forests of southern and western Ethiopia. Added to that, Quaffee includes Asorganica, a certified organic Colombian coffee that Quaffee has been buying for some time now. Depending on seasonality and availability, there will be one or two more coffees (either wild-grown or organic) added to this blend to complete it.
