Eureka is one of the most esteemed names in the espresso grinder space. The Italian manufacturer is perhaps best-known in our community for its Mignon line of compact home espresso grinders, but it isn’t exclusively a domestic brand. Regarding speed, the Helios can grind about 3 to 5 grams of coffee per second, or around 1kg of beans per hour (which is a little under the hopper’s 1.2kg max capacity), making it capable of weathering a mid-morning rush without much extra stress. 

Internals aside, the Helios also sports an attractive design and a host of useful and convenient features. It has three adjustable on-demand dosing profiles, as well as a continuous option, all selected using a touchscreen display. A pretty standout feature on the Helios is the dose counter, which keeps track of your doses and time spent in continuous mode, providing you with valuable information and insight into your business. It also features a “Total Control System”, which allows you to lock advanced settings and your on-demand doses behind a password. This is useful if you want to ensure you have the final say in any changes made to your grinder’s settings. Finally, like all of Eureka’s current grinders, the Helios features an anti-clumping chute that should help improve grind distribution and prevent channelling, as well as a patented stepless grind adjustment system that guarantees quality performance and consistency.
