Slayer is a name of legend in the speciality coffee space. They are known for breaking with convention. Vogue magazine even referred to them as the "enfant terrible" of espresso. Everyone sat up and took notice when they released their first machines in 2007, and they have won many awards for their machines since. The Slayer Espresso is their flagship commercial espresso machine. Need we say more? We probably needn't, but we will anyway.
The Slayer Espresso was designed with one single objective in mind: to perfect espresso extraction for any coffee, taking into consideration all the nuance derived from terroir, processing and roast. To achieve this, Slayer put all the best technologies under the hood of its iconic machine. You'll find multiple boilers, PID temperature control, separate brew tanks and anything else you might ask for from a typical high end commercial espresso machine. Buy Slayer doesn't just make another high end machine. They took all the best in class technologies and added more of their own.
The most ground-breaking feature of the Slayer Espresso is the 3-position paddle actuator, allowing total control of flow rate for profiling. This allows a barista to dial in a shot in a way that no standard volumetric machine will allow, and then save and replicate that profile going forward.
The second big innovation in the Slayer Espresso machine is the needle valve pre-infusion. This allows saturation of the puck at very low pressure, providing a long pre-wetting phase that optimises extraction. Like everything else on the Slayer, this pre-wetting phase is fully programmable and in control of the barista.
The combination of these best in class features, pioneering technologies and granular controls really makes the Slayer Espresso an incredibly desirable choice for any high end speciality café. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you'd like to ask any questions about the Slayer Espresso!
