Tribe's Malawian single origin coffee is syrupy sweet, smooth & medium-bodied. It will please any coffee drinker in an espresso or with milk, but also makes a delicious filter-style coffee. We really like it in the Aeropress.
Roaster's notes
When one thinks of Malawi, it’s usually her amazing fauna, flora and people, but prepare to be wowed. Malawi Gold is a huge favorite amongst those in ‘the know’. This coffee continues to impress judges and coffee professionals worldwide.
- Mouth-feel: Medium bodied
- On the nose: Truffles, candy-floss (cotton candy for those of you far away), chocolates and sweet peaches.
- Tastes: Smooth, rich, oily sweetness and a light acidity that clears the tongue.

Not my favourite, but good nonetheless
After coming from the Decaf blend (Also from Tribe Coffee), the acidity in this one is quite noticeable. Others that I have made the coffee for have given it good reviews without mentioning the acidity, it's just something I picked up and continue to pick up when I drink it. Not a bad coffee by any means, just not a personal favourite of mine.
Best beans around
My favourite beans by far. And I’ve tried a few from Cape Coffee Beans!!
My new go-to
I’ve tended to stick to the same brand. Then, by chance, I stumbled upon Malawi Gold. It’s a stunner. My new go-to. Rich, chocolate flavours. Coffee doesn’t get better than this.
Always pleases!!
This stays one of my favourite blends!!! Great smooth flavour profile with hints of chocolate
Tribe Malawi Gold
Enjoyed as I have the rest of the Tribe range. My taste in coffee.
