About the 1Zpresso J-Max Manual Coffee Grinder

The 1Zpresso J-Max coffee grinder is one of 1Zpresso's most recent releases and it really takes things to a whole new level. In many ways, it combines the very best of their other two top-of-the-line grinders, the JX-Pro & the K-Pro, both of which are grinders that we, and many of our customers, are pretty enamoured with.

Like the JX-Pro and the K-Pro, the J-Max grinder includes massive 48mm stainless steel burrs allowing for incredibly consistent and fast grinds. The J-Max burr set adds titanium coating, which should make them both longer-lasting and sharper.

In terms of grind settings, the J-Max grinder offers an unbelievable 400 options with "clicks" or steps that are 8.8 microns apart in terms of particle size. That is the finest grind setting resolution we've seen to date on a hand grinder (at the time of writing) and means that you can dial in precisely for any brew method from plunger to Turkish with many steps in between. For espresso enthusiasts particularly, this means you can fine-tune your extraction almost as precisely as you could with a stepless espresso grinder.

Even better, the J-Max uses an outside grind adjustment click wheel like the K-Pro rather than an internal adjustment setting. That makes it a little bit easier to fine-tune your settings as you're dialling in, as you don't need to open up the grinder each time.

The J-Max also includes some nice finishing touches like a magnetic grounds catch, eliminating the need to patiently unscrew the base, a longer, more ergonomic handle, and a darker, more scratch-resistant finish.
