About the Flair 58 Series

The 58 series, introduced in 2021, builds on the success of the original Flair Espresso Maker. The big difference between the Flair 58 series and the rest of the Flair lineup is that it uses a standard 58mm portafilter and basket, just like a premium home espresso machine, or even a commercial one. That offers several benefits. Not only does it mean that the extraction dynamics are virtually identical to the machines that the coffee world is used to; it also means that the parts and accessories are interchangeable, allowing Flair users to choose the tampers, baskets, distributors, puck screens, and other tools that they want to use.

About The Flair 58 Plus Espresso Maker

The Flair 58 Plus Espresso Maker includes everything from the base 58 model, adds walnut accents and comes with a few key accessories to make your workflow smoother. One key addition is an articulating shot-mirror that attaches magnetically to the Flair’s post and lets you see your shot as it pulls. It also comes with a puck screen and palm tamper for added precision. Perhaps most importantly, the, easily-detachable, electric preheat system on the Flair 58 Plus provides low, medium and high levels, giving you variable profiling for light, medium, or dark roast coffees. You no longer have to pre-heat the brewing chamber and you can even control the temperature!

The Plus model includes both the high and low-flow portafilter baskets, to ensure home baristas have all the control they need. The low-flow basket, when compared to the standard straight-walled basket of the Flair 58, allows for an easier dial-in process by allowing for a coarser grind, thereby increasing the overall compatibility with a range of grinders.

With the Flair 58 Plus 2’s growing popularity we decided to offer our customers this limited opportunity to get a great deal on the original 58 Plus. The two units are virtually identical, offering the same manual espresso control and experience, but for the avoidance of doubt, there is really only one key difference. The Flair 58+ 2 comes with an integrated pre-heat controller and a more compact power supply. This Flair 58+ has an external pre-heat controller which is detachable and a slightly larger power supply. Other than that, they're basically the same device!
