Bean There - Rwanda Musasa

R 129.00

We only receive deliveries of these coffee beans once per week, so you may need to wait up to a week for dispatch.

This single origin, Rwandan coffee from the Musasa region is a Fairtrade Certified product of Bean There's partnership with the Dukunde Kawa Cooperative. The Dukunde Kawa cooperative was established in 2004 and represents 1176 active members in the Kayanza Province of the country. The farms are located high hills of the Musasa region, this high altitude provides ideal conditions for growing Arabica coffee.

We've tried this coffee as an espresso, a pour-over and even an Aeropress and it really sings in every brew method. It has a wonderful citrus-like sweetness that just makes it a fantastic all-rounder. We'd highly recommend you buy a bag of these beans!

Good choice for pourover

We really enjoy this coffee brewed with a Hario V60 pourover. I've found that water temperature is an important factor not covered in most online pourover coffee tutorials. Here in Gauteng if I wait about 3 minutes after bringing the water to boil (in a stovetop gooseneck kettle) the water has cooled to slightly above 91 degrees, which seems to be the ideal temperature. (By this time you would have wet/rinsed the paper filter and added the ground coffee). This has become our mainstay - the coffee we drink 80% of the time.

Great coffee

Really nice, reliable coffee. Getting great results using an Aeropress with the James Hoffman recipe.

Great but not 100% my taste

Very nice coffee - I don't think single origin is what I'm looking for in taste
