Flair Espresso makes an incredibly impressive range of manual espresso makers that don't only replicate what traditional espresso machines do. They add full manual control of extraction pressure, in a way that allows the meticulous barista to perfectly dial in their shots. There's just one problem: most people don't drink straight espresso (much to our chagrin). With the Wizard Steamer, Flair has created a perfect companion for any manual espresso maker owned by a flat-white lover. Now you can froth milk by hand as well as you can pull an espresso shot by hand, at home.

About Flair Espresso

Flair Espresso's mission is to encourage lovers of great coffee to slow down and make their beloved beverage by hand. Flair Espresso Makers aren't just manual equivalents of their traditional, electric counterparts. They are cleverly-engineered, fully analogue precision tools that allow a dedicated home barista to control every variable, including pressure, to make the perfect espresso.

About the Flair Wizard Milk Steamer

The Flair Wizard Milk Steamer is a pretty ingenious device. It's a truly standalone milk wand that even professional baristas would be happy to use. We watched a couple of them test it out, just to make sure. By using the heat from a stove, and a sealed, pressurised chamber to boil water, the Wizard can produce steam just as well as most home espresso machines, perhaps even a little better in some cases.

As with all of Flair's products, much thought has gone into the design of the Wizard Milk Steamer. Like a Flair Espresso Maker, it comes with a built in pressure gauge, that helps you ensure you're steaming with the pressure you need to create microfoam. It also features a sturdy wooden handle, making it easy to move around without burning, and the steam wand itself is of the cool touch variety. It even comes with two different nozzles to experiment with.

The Wizard will operate on gas, electric or even induction stoves, so it's almost universally compatible. Just make sure it is on a level surface both when heating and steaming.

Lastly, Flair has built the Wizard with safety in mind, which is important given that you'll be working with boiling water at high pressure. The body of the Wizard is sturdy and the sealing mechanism highly effective. It also features an automatic pressure release valve which will safely release steam in the event that the pressure goes too high. It can also be manually engaged to quickly de-pressurise the Wizard.

It should go without saying but, when using the Wizard, you're working with a hot piece of metal, boiling water and steam. Please exercise caution and use common sense. Don't let children anywhere near the Wizard while it's in use, and be careful about how and where you place it. Pay attention to what the pressure reading says and be careful about touching the body of the steamer!
