Festive Season Delivery Schedule
Cape Coffee Beans remains open throughout the festive season, except on Sundays and public holidays. Nevertheless, recognising that many of you will be purchasing coffee beans, equipment, and accessories as gifts, we want to make sure you get your orders in on time to avoid disappointment. If you need your order delivered before Christmas, please refer to the table below for guidelines on when to order by.
If you don't necessarily need your order before Christmas, then feel free to go ahead and shop. While deliveries and dispatches may be slowed down by the public holidays, we will continue to operate on all the regular working days.
Please note that these deadlines only apply if you live in a main centre or regional area which is regularly serviced by couriers. If you live in an area that may be considered 'remote' or 'outlying', it's always a good idea to check with us before ordering if you need your order by a certain date.

* Payment must have cleared by the time and date of the order deadline. Payfast payments clear immediately but if you pay by Regular EFT, please make sure add enough time to allow the payment to clear.

We're open every day Monday - Friday, 9:00-17:00 and Saturdays, 9:00-13:00 (except the public holidays). If you're in or near Cape Town, you can collect your order at our headquarters in Claremont. Just select the collection option on the cart page (where our address is also listed) and wait for the confirmation email to say your order is ready. Most equipment can be collected same day. Coffee beans may require 1-2 working days.
Alternatively, just stop by our shop at 25 Franklin Road in Claremont! We have card facilities and lots of great gift options and beans in stock!
Gift vouchers are delivered by email
If you've missed the order cut-off, and you need a last minute gift, our gift vouchers can be printed out and are delivered by email automatically on payment clearing. If you're ordering during the public holidays, use Payfast to pay by card and ensure you get it right away. Please bear in mind that you can not include a gift note on a digital gift card (though you can add a note to the email, of course).
Making sure you get your order in time
We will make every effort to send your order in time. While we cannot guarantee deliveries by a certain date, we send your items with professional courier services that have a proven track record of delivering on time around the holidays. Nevertheless, there are certain things you can do to help us get your order to you on time:
- Make sure to give us a physical address where someone will be available all day to sign for an order
- Please give us valid contact details so we can contact you if there are any issues, especially a mobile number
- If you definitely need the order by a certain date that is fast approaching, please put this in the order notes on the cart page
Having coffee during the holidays
We recognise that you may run out of coffee over the holidays and need us to send you some more, or even get a last minute gift. The great news is that we, and our couriers, will be operating throughout the festive period except for the public holidays. You will still be able to place orders between the 25th & 1st, but please bear in mind that dispatch and transit times may be a bit longer than usual.
Some of our coffee roasters will also still be operating and we will be sure to let you know whose coffee beans are available. Coffees that are not available will be marked out of stock on the site until the roasters in question re-open. Nevertheless, we'd encourage you to stock up before the holidays!
Each of our coffee roasters and suppliers have different closure dates. When they have closed and their products are not available, they will be marked out of stock on the website. If you see items showing as in stock, that means they should be available (bearing in mind the timelines to dispatch).
Please note that most equipment and accessories will not be affected by closures as we hold stock at CCBHQ.
