Hario’s V60 dripper is perhaps the most well-known and beloved pour-over coffee tool. The iconic brewer revolutionised specialty coffee by ushering in a new era of appreciation for coffee brewed manually. Its 60-degree angle V-shaped dripper allows for experimentation with pouring techniques, grind sizes, and doses. Since its explosion in popularity after the 2010 World Brewer’s Cup, Hario has released variants in plastic, glass, and recently, re-imagined styles like the Hario V60 Suiren dripper.

About the Hario V60 Suiren Dripper

Hario’s Suiren dripper removes the spiral ribs from their classic V60 brewer and introduces a modular, snap on/off rib configuration which cradles your filter and coffee grounds as you pour. This design allows heat to escape the brewing slurry faster resulting in a lower final temperature in the cup than traditional V60 brews. The Suiren can also be fully disassembled for easy cleaning, travel and storage. The base ring and holder fits over most mugs, cups and carafes.

The Hario Suiren is compatible with 02-sized cone-shaped paper filters from Hario. Inside the box are twelve removable ribs and a holder. To customise your dripper, additional ribs in different colours are available. Using the six-rib configuration increases the coffee bed’s exposure to air, promoting a slightly faster drawdown. Twelve ribs give you a more traditional V60 flow that emphasises a bed-controlled extraction from the extra support. The open frame lets you observe how and where moisture collects as the coffee draws down.
