Ah, a classic Yirgacheffe... there are few flavour experiences so distinct, so immediately recognisable and so enjoyable all at the same time. With this new release, our friends at The Portland Project have provided us with just such a flavour profile, and we would highly encourage you to experience it for yourself.

This coffee is everything you would want from a washed Yirgacheffe. It's delicate and floral. It has notes of citrus and black tea that combine to offer something almost like a Lady Grey. It's bright, but not overpoweringly so, and occasionally it reveals a even more complexity with some hints of stone fruit and a dark chocolate finish making an appearance.

While you probably will enjoy this coffee in many brew methods, we would head straight for your pour-over and filter setups with this one. Those paper-filtered drip brews are the best way to enjoy all the nuance and flavour in the cup. Happy brewing!

    it's really bad.

maybe it's just me based on the other reviews here but wow, I cannot get this stuff down. I knew there had to be a reason why it was so cheap compared to other roasters. It is so dark! I can't work out why anyone would roast a Yirgacheffe to this level! No fruitiness, no acidity, no flavor. Honestly, just pay the premium for some of the other roasters and enjoy high-quality and flavorful coffee. Not even in the same realm as other roasters in CPT

    Comfortable

I enjoyed the roundness I felt drinking this coffee. After a serious bout of loss of smell and taste (post covid)this was very pleasant experience. I cannot get all the complexities but I do get a sense of comfort. This is always a staple in our coffee order. Strong. Delicious
