Some believe that one of the reasons that coffee made in a siphon (vacuum) brewer is so distinct in flavour is the cloth filtration. More efficient than metal, but allowing a bit more through than paper, it does provide a special character in the cup. Cloth filters are also reusable, for up to 50-100 brews if you take good care of them. However, they do eventually accumulate too much coffee residue.

This pack of cloth filters can be attached to your existing siphon filter assembly to make your coffee taste fresh again. For best results, store your filter assembly submerged in water in the refrigerator, taking it out when you're ready to use it. Replace when you notice a difference in taste or too much discolouration on the cloth.
