After designing its own stovetop Moka Pot in 2017, and introducing metal filter disks for the AeroPress, E&B Lab has created precision filter plates for the ever-popular Bialetti Moka Express. Developed using laser-cut, and consistently sized 0.2mm perforations, the E&B competition filter has a greater total surface area of pores than standard filters. This allows water to permeate more evenly and meet less resistance to move through the coffee at a lower temperature and pressure than standard 0.8mm pores. This innovation significantly reduces the likelihood of channelling to avoid bitterness in your brew and emphasise your coffee’s sweetness.

The E&B Competition Moka Filter replaces the metal filter and gasket of aluminium Bialetti Moka Express brewers. Made from stainless steel, the smaller holes filter out more coffee fines than standard filters to produce a cleaner cup with less sediment and a more uniform extraction. Available in two sizes, the 3-cup size fits 3 and 4-cup Moka Express coffee makers whilst the 6-cup fits only the 6-cup Bialetti Moka Express.
