The Gaggia Classic is an iconic entry-level espresso machine, famous for having kicked off many coffee enthusiasts’ journeys into the increasingly intricate world of home espresso. While it’s nothing fancy, it features everything you need to get started brewing espresso from the comfort of your own kitchen, and it leaves room for some handy aftermarket upgrades too, such as this 3D printed low-profile drip tray. 

Being a particularly compact machine, it can be a bit of a struggle to fit even slightly taller espresso shot glasses between a spouted portafilter and the Gaggia Classic’s standard drip tray. This 3D printed replacement tray is about half the size of the original and fits in its place just as snugly. It provides more room for a shot glass, or two, as well as a compact scale, or even a mug, making it even easier to brew great espresso with the Gaggia Classic. 

Note: Keep in mind that, being smaller, this drip tray has a slightly smaller water capacity than the original, and will likely have to be cleared more often.
