Nucleus Coffee Tools’ Paragon stand is a beautifully designed piece of kit made of high-quality parts. Designed for use with Nucleus’ Chilling Rocks and the drip brewer of your choice, the Paragon enables you to utilise an innovative brewing technique called “extract chilling”. 

You can read more about extract chilling here, but the short definition is this: during the coffee brewing process, when hot water makes contact with ground coffee, a number of chemical compounds within the coffee, called aromatic volatile compounds, are catalysed and released into the air. These contribute to the intoxicating aroma we typically experience while brewing coffee. Extract chilling makes it possible to retain a significant amount of these compounds so that they end up in the cup rather than the air, altering the taste of your coffee in interesting ways.
