Origami Wave Paper Filters

Origami Coffee Dripper Wave Filter Papers

R 119.00

This product typically takes 1-2 working days to dispatch

The Origami Pour-Over Coffee Dripper is an eminently versatile pour-over brewer that is compatible with both conical and wave filters. These particular wave filters are made by Origami itself. Like all paper filters, these filter out most coffee oils and unwanted particles, resulting in a clean, clear cup of coffee. Moreover, like other flat-bottomed filters, these promote a more even coffee bed for your brew water to pass through than a conical filter might, resulting in more even extraction.

While these are Origami’s own filters, they’re still compatible with other flat-bottomed coffee drippers, like the Kalita Wave and the Simplify Brewer

Origami vs Kalita filter papers

These require a bit less rinsing (in my experience) to the Kalita papers. They also fit the origami more "snug" due to the sharper folds. The difference in the cup is minimal, both brands are great for manual brewing.

Sharp Flat Bottoms

I really enjoy these filters for my Simplify pour over brewer. They have much more rigid and well defined pleats compared to other filter papers. Overfilling the filter can lead to the pleats collapsing inside the pour over but they seem to collapse uniformly and I haven’t noticed any negative results with the brew when I’ve accidentally done it. My only criticism is the same with other tightly nested filters. They can be a bit difficult to separate without creasing a pleat or two. Otherwise, I think these are going to be my go to filters from now on.
