The compact and colourful Profitec GO is a home espresso machine with a commercial-grade 58mm group head and precise brewing controls that deliver consistent performance. Building on the success of the original, the Profitec GO 2 introduces even faster heat-up times with an upgraded OLED display, programmable time-dosed brew buttons, and selectable pre-infusion.

Made from parts engineered in Germany and hand-assembled in Milan, the Profitec GO 2.0 has a 300ml insulated brass boiler with an automatic 'Fast Heat-Up' feature. Utilising an efficient ring group design, it is ready to go in just seven minutes. Paired with PID temperature control and an integrated digital display, the Profitec GO 2.0 features a shot timer and allows you to adjust brew or steam temperatures, as well as toggle the ECO standby mode. At the top of the GO, an over-pressure valve (OPV) allows you to manually adjust your extraction pressure with a flat-head screwdriver without needing to open the machine. Plus, the 58mm group head is fully E61-style compatible, meaning you can use aftermarket tools and accessories such as precision filter baskets, puck screens and calibrated tampers.

What's new with the Profitec GO 2.0

The Profitec GO 2.0 includes everything that made the original a favourite amongst home baristas, with a few thoughtful layout and software upgrades. The 2.0 has an upgraded OLED display with two PID control buttons front and centre, below the steam knob. Press and hold both buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds to enter the settings menu where you can make adjustments to pre-infusion times and programme the time-based dosing controls. Pressing the right, minus button shifts your GO to steam mode, press it again to return to espresso mode. For temperature stabilisation, the Profitec GO 2.0 will helpfully alert you if a hot water flush is needed.

For the GO 2.0, Profitec added a hot water dispensing function via the steam wand, simply press both PID controls at the same time and open the steam valve. The GO 2.0 borrows smart software features from Profitec's premium lineup of espresso machines; including automatic boiler refilling post-steaming, a low-water "Shot Protection" measure that lets you finish a shot even when the boiler is approaching empty, and features guided auto-backflushing and descaling routines.

Included with the Profitec GO 2.0 is a modular, bottomless portafilter with removable single and dual silicone spouts, single & double filter baskets, a blind filter for cleaning, coffee tamper, and cleaning brush.
