This resin-based water softener is a great accessory for your Expobar espresso machine. Designed to fit onto the end of the hose that draws water from the reservoir into the boiler, it filters out certain unwanted elements including limescale, mineral deposits and other particles. This not only improves the flavour of your coffee, by aiding extraction, it may also help to prolong the life of your machine!
Although this resin filter was designed to be used with the Expobar espresso machine, it should fit all semi-automatic, domestic machines. Before purchasing this filter, please ensure your machines pump is strong enough to pull the water through the filter and the inlet pipe has a diameter of 4mm.

Replacement filter for Lelit mara x
So the only reason for 4 not 5 starts is that the filter as stated is for an expobar machine. I currently jam an mara x (lelit) and use the filter as the originals cost you an arm and half a leg. It works but the filter unit stands a bit skew in the water tank but still does the job :)
