Handcrafted in Milan by a small, dedicated team, Rocket Espresso machines bring the tradition of Fatto a Mano straight to your kitchen. Blending elegant Italian design with professional-grade performance, Rocket remains a standout name in home espresso. Recognising that many espresso machines are simply too large for most countertops, Rocket introduced the now-iconic Appartamento to bring café-quality espresso to the space-conscious home barista.
Designed as an entry point for enthusiasts seeking premium Italian engineering, the Appartamento doesn't compromise on the build quality, reliability or consistency Rocket’s larger machines are known for. Under the hood, this compact espresso machine uses a vibratory pump with a 1.8-litre copper boiler and a heat-exchange system. For the home barista, this means excellent thermal stability and on-demand steaming, allowing you to pull well-extracted shots and texture milk simultaneously. Visually, the Appartamento’s striking side panels feature signature circular cutouts, adding a bold aesthetic flair.
Apart from its looks, the Appartamento has earned the trust of espresso lovers worldwide thanks to its proven E61-style group head and 2.5 L removable reservoir. The machine uses a 1200 W heating element. The lever-operated control allows you to manually start and stop the flow of water.
About the Rocket Appartamento 2.0
The original Appartamento proved you didn't need a commercial setup to pull great espresso shots at home. The Appartamento 2.0 builds on that legacy, retaining the original’s core mechanical design, such as the dependable heat-exchange boiler and powerful steam wand, while introducing thoughtful updates for the home barista.
The Appartamento 2.0 features an updated steam and hot water wand configuration for easier positioning, plus Rocket has dropped the height of the drip tray to accommodate larger cups. The original power switch light has been upgraded to a multi-colour LED, giving you visual feedback when the machine is warming up, ready to brew, or running low on water. Speaking of water, a new smart sensor lets you finish pulling your current shot before cutting off the pump. Rocket has also updated the internal frame with a corrosion-resistant galvanised coating for long-term durability.
