Widely recognised as one of Colombia's most celebrated coffee-growing regions, Huila is home to some of the country's finest specialty producers. Located in La Estrella near Acevedo, Finca Las Brisas is owned by Eduardo Ruiz, who, along with his team, cultivates and delivers high-scoring micro-lots to export partners Cuatro Vientos. Formed in 2018 by brothers Yonatan and Julián González, Cuatro Vientos (Four Winds) operates on three core pillars: connecting international roasters directly with local producers, preparing tailored micro-lots for seasonal specials and competitions, and optimising regional supply chains to better support coffee communities.

Marking the second release from Rosetta to be sourced in partnership with Cuatro Vientos, this limited-reserve highlights the highly-prized Pink Bourbon variety. Grown at Finca Las Brisas and processed using the classic washed method, this coffee showcases a careful balance between distinct terroir and precision processing. Explore Rosetta's tasting notes and learn more about this coveted variety below.

Rosetta's notes

Style: Classic
Flavour: Vibrant & juicy, honeyed stone fruit, tropical fruit

“As a washed, high-altitude coffee produced at almost 2,000m ASL, Las Brisas has the density to take on a decent amount of heat, much like the Ethiopian heirloom varieties to which Pink Bourbon is related. The cooler growing conditions at this elevation encourage slower maturation, allowing the coffee to develop a dense structure and high potential for sweetness.

“We build momentum steadily throughout the roast, with particular attention to the later stages to ensure development doesn’t overwhelm the coffee’s more delicate qualities. The aim is to keep the cup bright, clean and articulate, with expressive fruit notes and a distinct candy-like sweetness remaining at the forefront.”

Coffee details from Rosetta

“Produced by Eduardo Ruiz, this distinctive lot comes to us through Cuatro Vientos, a family-owned company founded in 2018 by the Gonzalez family. Working with producers across different regions of Huila, Cuatro Vientos focuses on sourcing expressive microlots that showcase the diversity and character of Colombian coffee.

“Known locally in Colombia as Rosado, or Pink Bourbon in the specialty coffee world, this distinctive variety is celebrated for its vibrant aromatics, juicy fruit character and pronounced sweetness.”
