It can seem a little complex at first, and it definitely took a bit of experimentation for us to get our ideal brew recipe, but once we got the hang of it, this brewer delivered some of the sweetest and richest brews we had tasted from the coffees we tested it with. On top of this, because it relies on pressure (rather than gravity and grind size) to draw down the brew, this coffee maker offers incredible versatility - whether you want something short and strong with a good kick or a longer filter style brew, the Pipamoka does it all. 

All this comes in a completely portable package that takes as little as 90 seconds to brew with. The insulated mug will keep your water warm for up to 4 hours, meaning you can carry it full of boiling water and you don't even need to bring a burner or a kettle with on your adventures. Given that this brewer is so unique, we would definitely encourage you to experiment and find the sweet spot that you like best. If you're looking for a starting point, however, we got the best results using a slightly stronger brew than what Wacaco recommends. 17g of coffee (ground a bit finer than for a pour-over) to 250g water with about a 90-second draw down delivered a sweet and full-bodied cup each and every time! Combine this with freshly roasted good quality coffee and manual coffee grinder and you have the perfect travel brew set up.
