Bean There Coffee Company holds a special place in South Africa's coffee history as the first roaster to establish and popularise Direct, Fair Trade relationships. By partnering closely with producers across seven different African countries, its commitment goes far beyond simple sourcing; it actively supports and reinvests in the coffee communities that produce its expertly-roasted beans.
While Bean There is known for its delicious single-origin offerings, the 111 Blend is a thoughtful expansion of their range. Joining Blend 44, this option offers African coffee enthusiasts an exploration of the continent’s diverse flavours through a carefully crafted, more developed roast profile.
Named for their Johannesburg roastery on 111 Smit Street, this blend brings together three of Bean There’s most popular coffees: Burundi Kayanza, Ethiopia Sidamo, and Tanzania Kilimanjaro. Roasted slightly darker than their standard medium profile, this blend offers a balanced cup that captures the finest traits of East African coffee.
Notes from Bean There
